Alien abductions - why are they predominantly taking Americans?

There are a number of theories why Aliens would want to abduct us:

1) Testing human intellect and understanding

2) To collect strong eggs/semen to combine with their own or alter to create a strong subspecies

3) To share important or vital information about our planet or the universe to stop a catastrophe

4) Share knowledge or technology to help us develop/better understand and respect the universe

5) To probe our bodies/minds in order to better understand the human race

So with all that in mind, why are there so many reported cases of abduction in the US?

Do extraterrestrials favour American subjects or see more potential in them over others?

Or do they view the US as a dangerous country who's people must be guided or controlled?

Although it's considered the land of freedom and opportunity, statistically, it has the highest levels of illegal drug use in the world, a homicide rate of nearly 8 per 100,000 people, ranks in the bottom 10 countries for racial equality, is the 10th most obese country in the world, the second-largest emitter of CO2 in the world and the birthplace of scientology.

Could these dangers all play a part in attracting aliens to the area?
